Overview

Summary:

The Loan Administration Quality Review Specialist II is responsible for the daily review of Loan Accounting System (LAS) reports which include but are not limited to the File Maintenance Report, Rate Change Report and the New Notes Audit Reports and is also responsible for ensuring the quality of all renewed and new loans booked. This position will assist the Loan Servicing and Quality Control Manager when needed and serves as a trainer and mentor of other staff members.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review daily the LAS File Maintenance Report for changes made to the system and ensure they were made with proper authority.
  • Review daily the LAS Rate Change Report ensuring all rate changes are correct.
  • Review daily the LAS New Note Audit report for all new and renewed loans booked.
  • Perform a quality systems check on all new and renewed loans booked to ensure loans have been placed on the system correctly.
  • Perform Credit verification on CBI and tax returns used in credit decision.
  • Perform Quarterly Rate Review on all loans $7.5mm or greater.
  • Maintain all logs of daily work reviewed.
  • Prepare monthly reports on work performed.
  • Prepare Monthly New/Renew Report for Credit Review Management.
  • Ensure staff is trained on reports for backup.
  • Responsible for CRA & HMDA reporting.
  • Review daily Charge off Report for Loans that are not captured on New Note Audit Report. 
  • Review daily the Payment Billing Report to verify correct amount is being billed.
  • Weekly review of 0% Interest Report for any loans that need investigating.
  • Train and mentor new staff members on job expectancy.
  • Semi-weekly review of Rate/Change Forecast Error Report for any irregularities.
  • Review and update all procedures related to job requirements at least semi-annually and as needed. 
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications

Essential Education, Skills and Experience (Required):

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Five (5) years of experience in loan documentation.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills, demonstrating ability to provide clear and constructive feedback in a positive way.
  • Problem-solving ability and ability to collaborate with team members in developing creative solutions to complex situations.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to instruct and train employees and to lead and guide others to develop new skills or knowledge.
  • Ability to make difficult decisions in a timely manner and when necessary to facilitate change.
  • Working knowledge and previous experience with Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Nonessential Education, Skills and Experience (Preferred):

  • Experience in loan processing or booking loans.
