The Collateral Analyst is responsible for assisting in the review of loans to determine if collateral meets  guidelines and regulations in order to pledge qualifying mortgage collateral to FHLB and FRB Discount Window to secure financing.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily reviews of incoming loans for FHLB and FRB Discount Window guidelines and regulations.
  • Serve as back up for generating Monthly reports for FHLB and FRB Discount Window reports of qualifying collateral (QCR’s and/or Monthly Status Reports).
  • Review past due loans for FHLB and FRB Discount Window guidelines and regulations. (Daily)
  • Assist in correcting exceptions.
  • Stay abreast of regulations and changes to pledging requirements.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.


Essential Education, Skills and Experiences (Required):

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills in planning, organizing, and implementing tasks with minimal supervision in a variety of situations.
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence and communicate clearly to customers and employees.
  • Advanced knowledge and previous experience with Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Word and Outlook

Nonessential Education, Skills and Experience (Preferred):

  • Two (2) years of loan experience.

Travel Requirements:

  • Attend FHLB and Federal Reserve Bank Discount Window workshops and webinars as needed.
